The Concept

The lighting design for The William Farrer aims to capture the essence of a modern yet classic pub experience, blending rustic charm with contemporary functionality. The venue’s design incorporates warm, inviting illumination that enhances its family-friendly atmosphere, with dynamic layers that shift from day to night.

In the beer garden, soft, ambient lighting highlights the lush greenery and create an inviting space for both summer evenings and winter nights. Festoon lights and wall-mounted sconces provide a cozy glow around the open fire, while low-hanging pendant lights above the bar will maintain a lively, social energy.

Inside, a mix of vintage-style fixtures evoke nostalgia, paired with adjustable, modern lighting to create versatile zones. The combination of natural warmth and inviting lighting will ensure that The William Farrer remains a welcoming oasis, where guests can relax, dine, and enjoy all year round.
