The Concept

When Chase Kojima envisioned Tokyo Samba, it wasn’t just about the food—it was about creating an unforgettable experience. The inherited space was a blank canvas, lacking personality and plagued by lighting that would make your skin crawl. That’s where we stepped in.

Collaborating with street art legends Sahil Roy and Paul Riot, alongside Simon Grant of WonderWalls, we transformed the venue into a visual masterpiece. The feature mural now pulses with life, a stunning fusion of cultures, textures, and stories.

Our lighting design brings it all together. Low level, ambient and an absolute vibe, elevating the space, highlighting the mural’s intricate details while casting a warm, inviting glow. The result? A venue that feels intimate, vibrant, and alive—perfectly complementing the bold flavors of Peruvian-Japanese fusion.
