Steph’s journey into architectural lighting began as a career in interior architecture—a place where her love for art, psychology, architecture, and the intangible magic of light collided. This unique blend of passions allows her to create spaces that don’t just look beautiful, but feel alive—evoking the moods and “vibes” we crave in our environments. Her fascination with how people experience space quickly evolved into a love affair with the drama and poetry of light.
That flair for the dramatic led Steph to the world of light art, where she’s captivated audiences at Sydney’s VIVID festival since its inception, created live installations for SKYN during Mardi Gras (broadcast on billboards across Australia!), and brought immersive experiences to life for TV networks like Channel 10 and luxury brands like Christian Dior x KAWS and Vivid Sydney.
Founding CuriousLabs in 2018 was Steph’s way of channeling this creative energy into an architectural lighting design studio that celebrates curiosity. Inspired by life’s quirks, contradictions, and everyday beauty, she’s reimagining architectural lighting as something more than functional—she’s making it a catalyst for emotion, connection, and unforgettable experiences.
