Focused on every detail and the desire to push creative boundaries that not only align with the narrative of the architecture and interiors, but culminate in an immersive and sensory experience, transporting her clients into realms that stir the soul and spark a little something within.
Having fallen down the rabbit hole of architectural lighting, Steph was able to mix her love of art, psychology, architecture and intangible mediums to create the vibes we all crave in spaces. Her passion for understanding behaviour in space and interpreting how people want to feel evolved into a love for the drama of light.
This drama took her down the light art route, captivating audiences during the VIVID light festival in Sydney since its inception, creating live installations for SKYN during Mardi Gras that were broadcast on billboards across Australia to creating TV show activations for 9 media and working on a Christian Dior x KAWS installation.
Setting up CuriousLabs in 2018 was an opportunity to create a lighting design studio with a more curious approach to architectural lighting, inspired by all the quirks, contradictions and beauty of the world around her.
